Grants are open to all communities Australia wide, with preference being given to rural/remote/regional communities.
Funding is available to community groups or organisations which can demonstrate that they are, at a minimum, an Incorporated Association or similarly constituted entity. Organisations that do not meet these criteria may be auspiced by a legal entity.
Funding is not available to individuals, trusts, or schools (except Parents/Friends Associations that meet minimum incorporation requirements).
- Applicants need to demonstrate that the project addresses the relief of social or environmental disadvantage or inequality through locally led action.
- Projects are to be completed within 12 months unless otherwise negotiated.
