Welcome to the September 2017 edition of Mary’s World. In a world fraught with violence, oppression and suffering it can often be hard to find hope. Thanks to your support we can continue the legacy of Mary MacKillop and that brings great hope.
Hope that has allowed thousands of teachers to be trained in Timor-Leste over the last 20+ years, hope that brings inclusiveness and peace to communities in Papua New Guinea and Peru, and hope that allows dozen of women and their families the opportunity of a livelihood in Peru.
This same hope and expectation is permeating the Josephite ministries as we prepare for the exciting merger of Mary MacKillop International and the Mary MacKillop Foundation.
By now, you will have received a letter from Sister Monica Cavanagh, our Congregational Leader, outlining the merger. We have also set-up a Blog on our website to keep you updated in the lead up to the merger date 1st July 2018.
