Born in 1842, Saint Mary MacKillop saw the power of education as a pathway out of poverty. It’s why she devoted her life to breaking through the prejudice of the early 19th century to educate all — regardless of gender, race, faith, or wealth. We have all benefited from her determination and drive.
Ever since, the Sisters of Saint Joseph have continued Mary’s ministry reaching those who have been left behind — not only to help people overcome the barriers they face, but to see them flourish!
At Mary MacKillop Today, we see the ongoing need — and we do something about it right now. But it’s only with the generosity of our supporters that our work can grow and be a force for change in the spirit of Saint Mary — today and every day.
Just as Mary helped where help was needed, you can support the most marginalised children, women and communities here in Australia and overseas. You can help provide people with the learning opportunities and skills they need to flourish — even in the face of intergenerational poverty.
Please sign up to monthly donations today. Your regular gifts will help continue the life-changing legacy of Australia’s most loved saint by supporting people in vulnerable situations to build a better life.
